For application development is specialise in ASP.NET and C#.NET. I choose MS SQL Server as my prefered database server and for reporting I favour Crystal Reports and Report Manager.
The .NET Framework is the newest and most developed application development framework. This allows me to rapidly develop applications with the large amount of pre-built components that it provides. As the development language is in its infancy, it ensures that applications I develop won't be out-dated in years to come. This language is also the most supported in the form of documentation and articles so learning to do new things is the easy. MS SQL Server is also well supported and suitable for almost any type of application so thats why I favour it. For reporting purposes I favour Crystal Reports and Report Manager as they are by far the best and most powerful applications for report generation that I have come across.
